Companies interested in doing business with any of the three units will essentially do business with the Mobile Airport Authority and thus, are expected to meet the qualifications required by the Mobile Airport Authority before being considered.

1. How can a company be added to the Mobile Airport Authority's supplier/vendor list?
Each company interested in doing business with the Mobile Airport Authority should fill out the registration form and submit it electronically to the Mobile Airport Authority. The form can also be printed and faxed to:

Vendors that meet the Mobile Airport Authority's requirements will be added to the Mobile Airport Authority's vendor list, however, having your company's information on the vendor list does not guarantee business will be contracted with your company, or that your company will be solicited for Request For Proposals (RFPs). The list is available to all employees who are authorized to make purchases on the Mobile Airport Authority's behalf.
2. Is Mobile Airport Authority exempt from sales tax?
Yes. Mobile Airport Authority is exempt from sales tax on all purchases. A tax exempt form can be obtained once an account is set up with the supplier/vendor.
3. What are the Mobile Airport Authority's payment terms?
Mobile Airport Authority approves invoices only after the services are rendered and/or the materials are delivered. Invoices should be mailed after services are rendered. Once an invoice is approved, payment is processed. Processing payment may take up to 30 days.
4. What forms of payment does the Mobile Airport Authority use to compensate its suppliers/vendors?
The Mobile Airport Authority requires a purchase order be created for all standard purchases. After the creation of a purchase order and receipt of a mailed invoice, a check is mailed to the supplier/vendor within 30 days. A purchasing card may be used in some instances.
5. Does Mobile Airport Authority require that its suppliers/vendors hold a business license?
Yes. It is the Authority's policy that all companies that do business with the Mobile Airport Authority hold a valid business license in the state they are located.
6. Does Mobile Airport Authority require that its suppliers/vendors have insurance?
All companies doing work on Mobile Airport Authority properties are required to carry insurance. The amount of coverage is subject to change depending on the location and type of work provided. For more details, please contact Robyn DeBlaey, Purchasing Manager, at 251-438-7334.
7. May a supplier/vendor visit with a Mobile Airport Authority representative?
We will gladly meet with you, but ask that you call ahead at 251-438-7334 to arrange an appointment. This will allow us to identify a suitable staff member to meet you at a mutually convenient time.

9. What are the designated delivery times?
The Authority's designated delivery times on regular business days are:
For Mobile Regional Airport: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
